CRIOLLO, Caribbean Contemporary Art exhibition

Amherst, MA– Contemporary Caribbean artist Gaddier Rosario (1969-) present CRIOLLO art exhibitionon display in Burnet Art Gallery located on the second floor of the Jones Library from May 1 through may 31, 2008, Artist’s reception will be held in the gallery on May 1st from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The exposition not only transmits the dynamism and creativity of a Caribbean artist, but it also tells the cultural history of "in the new city of New England," The colorful and diverse selection of the artwork includes oil paintings, pastel , Net art and mixed media pieces that showcase a variety of contemporary artistic trends.
Gaddier has more than 15 years of plastic art career, born in San Juan P.R. in 1969, Gaddier studied in “Liga de arte de San Juan” studying experimental painting, photography and drawing also communication in “Sagrado Corazón University” and industrial design in “Escuela de Artes Plástica”.
The artist resided in Puerto Rico until he relocated to the New England in 2004 with his family. He has established the Gaddier Fine art and design studio in Open Square at heart of Holyoke’s Historic Canal District. The artist also evolved in his own studio as editorial illustrator, graphic artist, photographer and art director.
